Kosovo is Serbia

Kosovo-Metohija is an autonomous province within the Republic of Serbia and pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 10 June 1999 it is under the temporary civil and military administration of the United Nations.

The state of Serbia, despite the fact that provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina unilaterally, contrary to the fundamental principles of international law, declared independence on 17 February 2008, is conducting a peaceful, diplomatic and legal fight to preserve Kosovo-Metohija in its composition.

Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina on issues of importance to the life of Serbs and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo-Metohija began in March 2011 in Brussels, with the mediation of the European Union. The mediator in the dialogue was EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, who was succeeded by Federica Mogherini.

The dialogue was in 2012 raised to the political level, with the participation of the prime ministers of the Republic of Serbia and of the provisional institutions of self-government in Kosovo.
